In Vermont, we are fortunate to have many organizations that offer information and resources on the threat, identification, and management of invasive species. This website provides a landing page for Vermonters interested in learning more about invasive insects, plants, and pathogens. In addition, the website is designed to guide visitors to the appropriate place to learn more and become involved in various monitoring, management and outreach efforts.
The development of the website was a joint effort between the University of Vermont Extension, the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and the Vermont Chapter of the Nature Conservancy. The website was funded by the USDA Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Assistance Program at the recommendation of the National Urban & Community Forestry Advisory Council.
